If you like the Rapture you should check out some other DFA bands. DFA records compilations #1 and #2 are on spotify and they’re a good way to get a good selection imo :)

absolute peak ep. insane florence + the machine vibes and some of the most actually devastating lyrics i’ve heard in a good bit. it’s 16 mins long and if you have that amount of time free it’s absolutely fantastic to immerse yourself in.

🎵This is one of my favorite albums of all time! I listen to it at least twice a week. I recommend anyone who wants to feel like an action hero (or villain) for the next couple hours to listen to it. I miss albums like these that feel like blockbuster soundtracks. The brutal rave production, the in-your-face vocals, the mix of underground grit with a high-gloss pop finish on top… bring back cinematic rave music!

🤖whenever I hear someone say “I asked ChatGPT” it pisses me off because it tells me they are too lazy to read through google search results or potentially reading a longer article for an answer. pleassseeeee people are literally destroying their ability to think. Also, using chatgpt eliminates the possibility of going down a Wikipedia rabbit hole which is Delightful and a great way to spend an afternoon while still learning and being curious about the world👍

📲hearing my coworkers/classmates casually say “let’s ask chatGPT” instead of “let’s google it” makes me feel insane. i’m not even a strictly anti-AI person but it feels like overnight it became the default way of navigating EVERYTHING for people younger than me- i’m glad i’m not the only one who hates this.
