Adventureland, 20th Century Women (any Mike Mills film tbh),Wrist-cutters: A Love Story, Garden State, Amelie. My own Private Idaho, If you don’t mind old foreign films: Vivre sa Vie, Summer with Monika, Il Posto.
1) little miss sunshine - a little sad but makes you feel good and laugh
2)being John Malkovich - perfect amount of weird
3)Argo - like almost a thriller but historical
4) fantastic Mr.fox - OBVIOUSLY
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. (this has been my favorite movie since I first watched it at 14 and I really doubt it will ever change. I just popped in the dvd to watch the director/writer commentary and other special features yesterday.) Zola. (I’ve seen Janicza Bravo do Q&As about Zola live twice which is probably two more times that the average person.) Springbreakers. Fallen Angels. Ingrid Goes West.
The Royal Tenenbaums. 68 Kill. Poor Things. (I did not see enough movies last year, but I saw this one which is great because it was made for me specifically) Are you sensing a theme in these films….
