currently it's hunt for the wilderpeople, pee-wee's big adventure, silence of the lambs and willy wonka and the chocolate factory. i don't change them often, my top 4 are my actual top 4 movies ever. my 4 most recent: meet John doe (it was fine but the liberalism was a little overpowering), holland (mid but the cast ate), pee-wee as himself (great doc i love paul reubens so much), and mrs. winterbourne (total ass. but brendan fraser was sexay)

Also added my recently watched! I love my top 4 right now, Hitchcock and Jarmusch are my favourite directors as you can probably tell. I’ve shown so many people rope it’s probably starting to get annoying. It’s a tough call between Down by law and Strangers in paradise for me but there’s something about the chemistry between Tom Waits, Robert Benigni and John Laurie that exudes comedy noir. Boys in the band and Only lovers left alive were both recommendations from my friends that I ended up adoring. Ill also sneakily link my letterboxd https://boxd.it/6ghrF

okay i actually changed mine a couple days ago and swapped out everything everywhere all at once for moulin rouge cause i havent seen eeaao for a couple years and i love moulin rouge recently it’s not really in order but bottoms first i loveeeeeee this film its so film, the cast is AMAZING and i’ve seen it quite a few times and it never gets old i swear i just love it so much next is the holdovers which i just love everything about, firstly i love the setting in the 70s and the whole aesthetic of it with the snow and brownish colour palette ugh, the characters are all so endearing and it’s like an unexpected found family that just touches my heart next is moulin rouge which i actually only watched for the first time last year but i’m OBSESSED it’s the craziest and most dramatic film with such loud and beautiful visuals that i love so much, it makes me laugh so much cause of the silliness and how fast paced it is with all the luhrmann style cuts last is i saw the tv glow which is just so beautiful, have to say i was slightly confused the first time i watched it but after watching some youtube analysis videos i appreciated the film so much more, there’s so many parts of this film that i love like the soundtrack and overall message so ofc in the top 4 don’t judge that most of them are from the last few years lol what can i say butttt i do have a longer list of my favourite films thaf i might post about with explanations and it’s slightly more diverse with eras but yas

Top Recs from @dracula

no more beating dead horses when it comes to movies, tv shows, etc. the movie doesn't need a sequel. the show doesn't need to go on for 27 seasons. we need more stories that are written with an ending in mind from the beginning.

best thing you can do for yourself is become extremely comfortable with being alone and doing stuff by yourself. at a young age i forced myself to get comfortable with that and now it's my default state-- i LOVE doing stuff by myself. my coworker is a person who literally cannot go places by herself and i have been trying to help her get more comfortable doing things solo because it's very freeing. everyone should be happy to go do stuff by themselves, it's lovely!

i will never get over polyvore shutting down. i used it obsessively and had hundreds of outfits made on it and mine were ARTFUL not like the stuff people say they saw on wattpad with like skinny jeans and converse and shit like mine were gorgeous. and then they shut down and i wasn't able to back up any of my stuff so i lost it all.
