i will learn this one day !! but it is expensive and requires a decent amount of tools + space. it’s such a mysterious process to me. if you develop film, please tell me about it!!
I wanted to try it but after learning about how tricky it is (and for color film a hundred times more difficult) and how much I would have to spend for all the basic things I decided that it's better to leave it to my local film shop. But I cut, scan and post-process negatives myself which is really fun! It's basically only the film developing part I "outsource"
depending on where you live, many film shops will teach you and let you use their chemicals/equipment (for a fee but much much less expensive than doing it at home)
@MARXINISTA unfortunately i don’t live close to any film shops, but that’s super cool i didn’t know that. when i move i’ll definitely look into that :)
getting film pictures developed in india is like lowkey like playing a rlly bad video game! there’s so many obstacles and the end result is expensive and underwhelming :(
