@JULIAA ohh i see that makes sense.. i have yet to have a job so i lack that knowledge but lwk i see jobs as a place to make friends especially as an adult lol

@BUGBEANNIE honestly that's a much better way to think about it...it's definitely stressful when there's work related conflict, but I guess real friends can be made everywhere!

COWORKER SOCIALS

I know this does not translate for certain jobs. But for this chill job I have right now it's nice. I hung out with them today for the second time since being hired and it's nice to become more friendly with people who live in my area. It's also cool to talk to these people with such different life experiences than me because I probably would not have been able to find or befriend them if not for work.

it creeps up on you

i think settling into your life is a feeling that creeps up on you. as someone who struggles with being present, i need to constantly practise gratitude or even my dream life kinda passes me by. i think it's human nature to be constantly looking for the next best thing, but it takes a lot of awareness to realize you've already made it on so many facets. thinking about my younger self and the pride they'd feel looking at present me is grounding and brings me lots of perspective.
