I recommend a couple deep breaths right now, it wont cost you anything or take away too much time. breathing deeply reduces stress, increases blood flow and blood levels, and it’s probably the best way for the average person to catch a break from the endless chatter of the mind. Take some breaths, breathe in for a little longer than you breathe out, try to enjoy it. That’s all, be well

I have a friend who says lulls in conversation are a good chance to focus on her breathing. I wonder if it might make the conversation more awkward, but here’s the deal: there are no rules. Box breathing, belly breathing, 4-7-8– it all does the trick to regulate your body. Just take some deep breaths when you remember and take care of yourself today! I’m gonna try to do the same.

Thought vigilance is about observing and regulating your thoughts, typically this is used to help redirect negative thought patterns but I’ve been using it to redirect all my mundane thoughts towards the goals I want to achieve and it’s awesome. I keeps my head a lot quieter and it’s directs mental energy more efficiently (I love efficiency). Look into it if you’re interested and give it a try. be well.
