kind of a pain in the ass to get there, but once you do, you can drive to any random place, park, and wander like 5 (+/- 100) minutes in any direction. not only will you be in the presence of tremendous beauty, but nobody (not even retired cops, halfheartedly cruising) will bother you.

Sure, it takes longer to get to the beach and there will be traffic during busy times, but it is the best! Drive through the hills, past the marine mammal center, the art school, the old jeeps for sale, and that one container truck owned by a koi pond company. Laguna Canyon is magical and should never be changed
