this whole album and the title song transport me to Arezzo, where I lived in an art commune studying commedia dell’arte in 2011. the album came out a few months before I arrived and soundtracked every tramonto, every walk down the hilly outskirts into the walled city.

i have listened to this over and over and over again. whenever it’s playing, i feel like i’m listening to what music was always meant to be. i’ve written essays on it, i’ve cried to it, and i’ve gone on many road trips with it…i love it dearly. in my opinion, it’s a once in a lifetime album made by a once in a lifetime band.

I love listening to this album sitting inside, feet up watching a snowstorm or thunderstorm. Makes me feel like a jaded film noir detective at his desk, back to his desk and the door, about to start a monologue. Season’s Trees or any of the songs with Jack White or Norah Jones are the highlights.

extend the life of your clothes by covering holes or stains with embroidery floss and yarn while giving them new cool zombie flair! you don’t even have to be neat, the more imperfect the weave the more organic the result. the best mended garments are almost fungal, covered in sick multi-colored lichen.
