join a chess club. even if you think you suck at chess, its a genuine exercise for the brain! sometimes i feel like it helps me see the world differently, helps me take my time and be more strategic. feels like yoga for the brain, like meditation in a weird way

♟️I think probably the most brilliant game. To me playing chess is sort of a return to my childhood. I randomly had the thought about 6 months ago like “why don’t i just start to play chess again?” and I am happy I did. also didn’t realize how many dear friends of mines were also chess fanatics until I started playing more… I think when you just really dive into little things you enjoy you get rewarded for it. Chess is awesome and it works your brain.

♟️Def a learning curve to chess but it challenges your brain to think ahead and adapt to your opponent‘s playing style. there’s a creative element to it where unfamiliar situations force you to problem solve. it’s a blend of rationality but elegance. there are many diff types of chess (dice chess exists?) also the surge of dopamine when you figure your way out of a tough spot >
