This app was lowkey weird because it was an anonymous polling app for high schools that’d give you 4 people to pick from for questions like “Secretly have a crush on:” For like a week my school used to love it and then at some point I think Twitter bought it and nuked it then like 5 years later a spiritual successor app called gas starts and then Discord buys and nukes that.

⭐very sad the recs and asks arent separate anymore, granted you can filter them but i liked matching up 10 recs per every one ask:/
also the past version was so much easier to navigate? for me at least as someone who's not the most adept with tech/sns it was very stress-free now its kinda as overwhelming and cluttered as other social medias
i understand gathering as much input from users as possible and improving on the experience but its kinda giving post-2006 runescape when the polls and voting on update features got out of hand and changed the game so much they had to bring back "oldschool runescape" years later
totally in love with the custom background/theme feature tho, deffo feeds on that creativity a lot of pi.fyi users have and adds to the fun originality of the platform
