Very fun free 3d modelling tool that you can run through your browser. Great for making gloopy shapes and fun renders. They also have a 3d printing service which offers really pretty but quite expensive clear tinted resin options. Check out this little devil pot I made.

Pretty sick, went with a friend and it was very funny. $14 Movie Theater IPAs were hitting in a fantastic way. Then we went to see the second half of the Knicks game in some dive in the Village. It was a great time, stumbled on the escalator in front of strangers. 10/10

I have another indie theater that I prefer because itโ€™s cozier, has better vibes, is much closer to me, and everybody who works there is genuinely passionate about film. Itโ€™s not really anything special visually but itโ€™s a beautiful institution and itโ€™s so fun to be there โค๏ธ But this one is an old art deco theatre designed by architect John Eberson (he designed Loewโ€™s Paradise in the Bronx and the Paradise Theatre in Chicago)! Itโ€™s pretty run down/poorly managed and staffed but itโ€™s a gorgeous building and definitely worth visiting. Not my photos but included for illustrative purposes!!

Made a WhatsApp group with all my film friends in it and have been using it coordinate going to screenings. It's so much fun! There's loads of little independent screenings happening where I live and some very good independent cinemas, but even if all you have is a TV you should start a film club too. This evening I'm off to an old pub that's been converted into an events space to watch The Garden by Derek Jarman ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I've been really interested in silver casting for ages and finally managed to get a place on a carving and casting course at my local jewellery school. It's been an absolute blast, and as someone who's bad at making time to do creative stuff, having something timeboxed in that I've already paid for makes a huge difference. I was also for a long time adamant that the only thing I needed to pick up new skills was YouTube and some perseverance, I was absolutely wrong, there's nothing better than having an expert nearby and all the right tools on hand to make learning a new skill less painful. So take a class! Learn something new! Apply your innate ability to create beautiful things! Pictured: The two rings I've made so far, one was cast from a design I sculpted in blender and then 3d printed. I love it's lil' face ๐Ÿ˜Š
