absolutely adore pulp and this is their first new album in over 20 years. spike island was the first single for this album and arguably my favorite still. great stuff here.
i have been wanting to get into pulp since forever but never found the time to listen dive deeper. some people might hate greatest hits cds but i think these things are great for getting into artists that you want to get into.
Ten of ten, no notes, was the soundtrack to my time living in London and back in my life as PULP is on tour right now. I like to listen to it as a rock opera about class.
Pile has put out some of the best guitar music in history (not exaggerating, ask anyone in Allston) and has more recently delved into some really interesting sonic landscapes with the addition of synths. This one in particular is one of my favorites of all time.
