dad takes me to obsession records and i was just like damn i really want to find something because like. i want something. when i spend 30 minutes sifting through titles of boring adult shit or fucking tate mcrae i need a prize to make it worth the time. but dad bought me star by belly for six dollars dunno if that’s a steal or overpriced or average but i have a star cd by belly now. it made all my searching have a purpose! i had a very brief passing thought in my head standing there while i read the production credits (only like three people) likeee do i really need this or i just want dad to buy me something he took me here and i’ve been looking for so long do i even like more than two songs on this album six dollars though! and i ordered the pains of being pure at heart i forgot what it’s called but it’s a neon green print of the same higher than the stars cover i think. has unreleased singles im excited to listen to. i like indie rock and consumerism 🤷 sue me anyways just always feels like i deserve/need a really good find every thrift or secondhand shopping trip there is nothing will ever beat the bends for one dollar in fucking florida though

When I was in my hometown for the holidays, my sister and I were very bored and very broke. So, we started just walking into random stores and just looking around. Just lallygagging. It was actually way more fulfilling and relaxing than actually buying anything. Because we couldn't get anything, there was way less pressure and we could just enjoy looking at things. We started noticing things that normally we would pass by, driven by the purpose of a purchase. One day, we spent like 20 minutes smelling every single candle in the candle aisle at HomeGoods. Another day, we looked at the weird silverware and cups at TJ Maxx. We also frequented Half Price Books and skimmed old Microsoft Excel books from 2009 and Child Development books. Don't limit yourself to Target. Store recs: - TJ Maxx - Ross - Half Price Books - HomeGoods - Bed, Bath & Beyond - Dollar Tree - DSW - Tuesday Morning - Antique stores - Semi-abandoned malls

You don’t have to buy a ginormous haul or really anything*, you can simply roam a grocery store and vibe. This is among mic’s and my favorite activities. *or do just get like one thing and, to spice up the adventure, buy something new or obscure or rare
