The first time I watched Almost Famous I watched it through, finished it, loved it and then restarted it. Watching the same movie to completion twice in a row. I’ve done that with quite a few movies. The amount of free time I’ve had in my life to be able to watch movies several times in one sitting is criminal. When I was like 10 I watched The Shining and it immediately became my favorite movie ever and still is. Anyway, I finished it then watched it again so this has been a recurring theme throughout my life. Do any PI peeps do this too? I haven’t in a while because I’ve recently felt like watching movies is a waste of time. Until I watch a movie and I then think about it every day for the rest of my life. I watched Kids a couple weeks ago and since then I have consistently been analyzing it in my head. Always thinking about things that don’t matter, it’s fun.

Yes! This movie was incredible - the worldbuilding was great and so immersive! Also I do the immediate rewatch thing with tv shows a lot, flip from the last episode of the last season all the way back to the pilot again to see where we came from :-) Very rewarding for e.g. Game of Thrones, Sopranos, The Wire, etc ...

I’m usually a tv girl. I always binge watch series for hours sitting in my room, and I also have a strange habit of bailing on a show a few episodes before the series finale lol. Idk what that’s all about. Literally watched Ozark NONSTOP for days and then got to season 4 episode 2, and was like….suddenly i’m out. Currently working on bailing on Gilmore Girls because every character is in desperate need of a vow of silence. BUT recently I’ve been movie marathoning. Watching, like..three movies in a row. This seems super boring and normal, but it is like an exercise in paying fucking attention to one thing at a time, which I struggle with lol. Recently, my manager and I were upstate sitting by a fireplace and we watched Autumn Sonata, followed by the Blair Witch Project, and ended the day with Eyes Wide Shut. I’d never seen Eyes Wide Shut, it’s cuteness overload. Boobies galore. Autumn Sonata had me weeping - went into it thinking it was just a cozy fall movie about two girls who do nothing (my favorite genre) lmao. But yeah, having a movie marathon day instead of a watching tv while looking at your phone moment, is a lot more fun imo.

Just easier than finding something else to watch tbh. I like to commit.

this is how people read books, no? I've started doing this and I am much more likely to watch longer films than I might've been. Just find a good stopping place and pick it back up later. Most movies have a three act structure, just stop after you've completed one, it's like finishing a chapter and putting the book down.

I only have two friends. They are both my best friends. My best girl friend and my boyfriend. I had a good day, I feel I could cry. We all came together and made necklaces with beads. They just left. It's so beautiful, this is what I love about life. When your best friend and your man love each other too, like on a sibling level, also considering each other best friends, it is so fucking special. Us 3 against the world, I mean that so seriously lol. We all support each other through anything and share the exact same humor, why would I need more friends? I'm not necessarily opposed to it but I haven't felt a longing for more friends in so, so long.
