ive had this album on loop recently, and watching the sunrise outside my window while duvet plays is deeply peaceful. everything feels right in that moment, simple, and uncomplicated. our world is severely lacking in peace, so moments like those are greatly treasured

This evening I went out for a walk in the rain. It wasn’t cold and the red lights of Korean BBQ places made it feel warmer.
I walked into a Blenz coffee shop, a few semi-opened umbrellas were huddled by the entrance and there were about 5 or 6 people inside. I went up to the counter and ordered a hot chocolate, took a seat and looked around. The lights were a cozy warm yellow, and there were postcards and pictures and cute art pinned on the wall.
As I waited I listened to the beginning of “Complicated” by Avril Lavigne playing in the background.
Some people worked on their laptops or read while others spoke in low soft voices.
It was a calm moment that made me appreciate those special times when things move slowly.

ive been evangelizing these two since october now, and i swear the speed run album has saved me several times over. i have not been so instantly certain an obsession would change my life since i was a 13 year old girl, but that feeling hit me like a truck after listening through the whole of the album on a plane. new life.
