not just my favourite classic but my favourite book of all time. v diff writing to her other novels, but my fave one. she wrote it for her lover, vita, and it’s a really sweet secret love story (especially good to read for pride!) that’s also genuinely very witty. particularly good to read if you are going through some sort of identity crisis. and special shoutout to the beautiful antique edition my mum got me for my 18th birthday.

If I’m being completely honest, to the lighthouse is not my favorite Woolf novel, but it is a good introduction to her style. Mrs dalloway is in fact an incredible novel, it threw me into an extreme life crisis and made me break up with my boyfriend of 3 years. The waves is one of her best works ever, but it’s EXTREMELY strange and challenging. Orlando is also honestly one of the best books I’ve ever read, but is sort of an outlier in terms of her usual writing style and content. Its it’s own thing.
