Sure I *could* easily cut to the chase and find the answer to what I’m looking for online, but wouldnt I rather engage with my comrades to get their specific POV and solely rely on that? Like they had to in the good ole days (I assume)?
as i scroll on this app i go to comment and ask the person oh what’s the movie about? or where is this restaurant you’re recommending? or what is a campari soda and where the hell do i get it. but i can just google all these things! hmph. a conundrum.
there’s something to not googling it and learning from someone else. i avoid going to the internet during a convo for this reason
It's fun to talk about a thing and see if the person you're with has any knowledge about it before you automatically search it. Boomers often don't even conceive of bringing their questions to the internet, and most younger people do the exact opposite. It's nice to strike a balance and still have conversations.
s l o w i n g down life and putting thought into mundane, routine things helps me maintain being present in the moment. I’ll never get it *all* done anyway, so may as well just savor some moments ya know?
