I've been going through a musicals phase for the last few months and it's been coming to a head lately. This week it has been: JCS, Spring Awakening, Merrily We Roll Along, and bits of Little Shop of Horrors and A New Brain.

Obsessed with this musical right now and it feels amazing. I just saw the off-broadway production with Liz Gillies and Milo Manheim and wow….WOW!! I think I’ve had “Dentist” stuck in my head for the past two weeks ago. TAP IN!!! Every version is great but I tend to return to the movie soundtrack

I used to exclusively listen to musical theatre soundtracks & theatrical song cycle recordings. I barely listened to Anything Else.
With that said I started to resent the version of me who liked that stuff. I thought it was uncool.
Recently I’ve found that I can indulge in what once meant a lot to me regardless of whether it’s seen as embarrassing. While my interests have shifted a lot over the years, the person who loved that stuff is still with me. And that can be really fun to look back on.
So I’ve linked a song from my favorite musical that makes me cry. <3
