Fourth of July might be one of the most devastating love songs about losing someone ever. I love that song, and the rest of that album! Great rec!

One of my favorite albums of all time. Every song on this album is excellent and it only affirmed my deep crush on Sufjan Stevens.

I’m ready to bring this album back into rotation. It’s been my evening go-to recently, a perfect springtime listen - toss it on for the end of day unwind. Take out your sudoku notebook and bang one out while Sufjan lulls you down with Should Have Known Better (but not the same song of that name mentioned in the Sam Buck rec - 2 for 2 on that song 🎯).

oohh we are soooo back!! I can't believe it has been 10 years of Carrie & Lowell, it was such an important part of my teenage years, it was a big part of bonding with my best friend, we tried learning some of the songs on the ukulele togheter. In these moments I sense the cravings that lead us to count time, to have a day among many others that invites you to think about moments that have gone by. The album is a gift and I'm happy with the chance to spy a little on the creation process with the demos. Let us have many days with the presence of ourselves πŸ•Š

is a song that i've had stuck in my head and on repeat for the past month. my favorite lyrics are: I don't know if I could fly a plane Well enough to tail spin out your name Or high enough to lose control completely Honey, I'm thinking maybe You know, just maybe Maybe she is such an expert at mixing possibility with hopelessness GOD I LOVE HER

they're this cool indie/scramz rock band (also some of my friends) from my college and they just released a new album that i really like. i'd like to see more indie POC women the singer scream like she does and leave it all out there on platforms like this. def worth checking out imo
