PARASOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS
every time i post about something pertaining to a celebrity it feels so much like a punisher moment (phoebe bridgers ref 😕), because i’m like hey! idfk who you are but i painted you! wow! but it’s also that i just deeply appreciate a persons work, and think hey this is pretty cool i should share it! everything is a moral dilemma. anyway, enough ramblings, this is a portrait loosely centered around the image of sophie thatcher that i posted, which sparked this current train of thought.

This is one of my all time favorite photos! It was one of my first photoshoots I did after moving to NYC. I shot this in Central Park with Hannah without ever meeting her prior to the shoot. I was nervous!
It was a super busy day and we were in harsh daylight, but Hannah trusted me to make her look good, and I trusted Hannah to execute my vision.

He’s honestly my favorite since forever. He’s got something so special about his photos. I had the opportunity to get photographed by him and then he used that picture of my face to promote his showings in the world. It still is very surreal to have one of my favorite artists use my face as a huge part of his project.

I got him at a particularly difficult point in my life and I’ve had him for 6.5 years now wow!!! He’s always been big, just much larger dimensions than a normal cat as well as being a little chubby lol. He’s a sweetie pie and is finally coming around to his little sister 💛
