If I run out of questions to ask or things to say on a date its easier to just say… I cant think of any more questions, rather than forcing something. You can always find another thing to do or! or just sit in silence without expectations. Awkward silence isn't awkward if your both know the reason why its silent 👍

Sometimes the best thing to do is just embrace the awkwardness. sometimes a Conversation gets awkward and the more you try to avoid that, the more the conversation becomes artificial and dis genuine. its normal to have awkward moments, and the best way to embrace it is to acknowledge it. if an awkward silence occurs maybe say “that got awkwardly quiet“ sometimes when things get awkward it’s a sign to switch subjects. ALWAYS try to find common ground when talking to new people. Ask them what they’re interested in, it’s fine to ask questions. Lastly if You draw a blank on what to say, if your brain freezes and you suddenly can’t think anymore, Make sounds until they’re words. The most awkward thing to do is nothing, so just do something

That mostly helps save the convo like a fun q&a or a cute compliment, idk, whatever the context is, I always manage to pull something out of my ass n’ say something nice when things are awkward.

the guy threatened me & my sis that he would DEPORT US if we lied to him (mind you, we were 15-ish atm), and sent us to those back rooms so the police could question us (which they barely did bc no one understood why we were even there for starters)
