😃
I had the pleasure of experiencing Wi Spa for the first time this past Sunday, and all I can say is every penny spent is worth it. $30 for full access to 6 different saunas, 3 baths, showers, a restaurant (with decent food and reasonable prices) and a "sleeping room" with mats, pillows and blankets on a heated floor. I went with a couple of friends after a trip to the beach. We arrived sandy and ready for a bath at 9:30 pm, took showers, had ramen and smoothies at the restaurant, went back downstairs for hours of soaking heating and cooling our bodies at various lengths of time. We didn’t leave until 1:30 am. This place is an institution that should should be celebrated. Can't wait to come back!

I went to the Korean spa for the first time with my bestie last night and it was a profoundly nourishing experience on every level. we were having deep heart to hearts while schvitzing it out in the sauna and it felt like my soul was being cleansed. there are these tubs of different temperatures and this basin full of mugwort water with empty bowls so you can pour it over yourself, and all these magical heated rooms with different scents and properties. I also saw people carrying giant bottles of spa water with chopped mango and mint and they were like $20 each but they looked sooo good. next time I also want to go to the Korean restaurant inside and the tea room.

A perfect way to spend 24 hours and only $40. Relaxing and stress free. If you’re ever in the Atlanta area, jeju spa is a must do.

Today I paid a stranger $128 to methodically rip out all the hairs off of my legs, arm pits and entire downstairs, including a butt strip. I am what they call a "seasonal client." And while I believe that beauty standards are made up garbage and everyone is entitled to doing whatever they want with their own body, I enjoy waxing in the summer. Not worrying about hair when I'm getting ready to go to the beach only really lasts for about a week. The senesation of having no hair for a week is tippy as hell, and what no one seems to mention is the grow back period. My hair grows back softer than it would if I shaved, and I feel like some kind of beautiful forest creature. Natural body hair on a woman is actually so feminine and erotic and underrated, and I wish I could let my body be in a natural state in a bikini without being scrutinized by strangers. The public eye is such a bummer right?
