They have a contract with ICE to deport people so fuck them forever. Long story short I was travelling alone with a toddler and infant, flight was delayed 5 hours, got in at 4am, wouldn't let me check my bags on the way back, ended up having to spend $1,000 buying a new return flight, and all they offered me was a $50 voucher.

@GRAPE yeah, it sucks because it is very convenient and especially so for a solo traveler. Even if they break their contract, I don’t know if I could ever support them again.

they were training the british tsa that day and bc i got to the airport so early, pulled me aside for the training line but in doing so one tsa agent had directed me to the training line and the other to his own line and the two literally ARGUED about where i was supposed to go 😭 then in the training line, i set something off so they had to swab my hands and pat me down. and as if that wasn’t enough, they had someone in training not very supervised search my bag. she emptied ALL the pockets in my backpack, thoroughly swabbing inside each of them. people were staring!!! and when she turned to her supervisor asking if that was good he told her it was “more than enough” then i had to face the chaos of the terminal’s waiting area which has a weird layout and not enough seats. i was dealing w a recent painful knee injury, but they only told you your gate 15-20 minutes ahead and i was worried i’d miss my flight so i had to go to my airline’s help desk and ask about it. it turns out they already know all the gates anyways they just don’t tell people ??? then on the flight there was a baby who scream-cried the entire time whose mom did little to help them. which is not heathrow’s fault but was the cherry on top

the guy threatened me & my sis that he would DEPORT US if we lied to him (mind you, we were 15-ish atm), and sent us to those back rooms so the police could question us (which they barely did bc no one understood why we were even there for starters) We weren’t even going to the US, it was a CONNECTION FLIGHT 😐

they’re either scamming customers, union-busting their employees, or i guess targeting their whistleblowers? BUT most of my pleasant flying experiences have been with delta - intl and domestic. i usually fly with them esp as i’m now building up points. though their tiered upgrade system is absolutely ridiculous, ends up being $60-200 more than listed price for being able to get a refund. the flight attendants are all really nice and currently unionizing! baggage situation isn’t the worst. jetblue extra charges and baggage fees are ridiculous, but i like that they sometimes have smaller planes available (when you book it lets you see the type) so less people to be around if you book for a 2 seater row. i can’t speak to most of the in-flight aspects of either though because when i get on a plane as soon as they start taking off i fall asleep and sleep through the entire thing. like literally every single time, no matter where, when, or how long

Humans have always danced. It is part of who we are, yet we have been conditioned to be self conscious, to think that we do not move our bodies good enough. Dancing is beyond judgement. Dancing is not a skill, it is our soul moving through our bodies, expressed in movement. Dancing is healing. Dancing is bodily autonomy. Dancing is FUN! Any feeling you are feeling can be moved through with dance yet even alone, you fear looking foolish. Kill the judge in your mind, shut the fuck up, and MOVE 🌊

In Tarot, The Fool is the first card in the Major Arcana, which represents the life cycle. These cycles we are continuously going through in our lives, not just once. The final card of the Major Arcana is The World (which I have tattooed very large on my thigh), which signifies the completion of a cycle and natural ascension into the next. We are then thrust back into the Fool, with a bit more wisdom. The Fool as an archetype is one of joy, curiosity, spontaneity, and trust.  The Fool is pure of heart, knowing that the Universe has got their back.  This innate trust allows The Fool to be playful, to take risks, and truly believe everything will work out.  The more we go through life and experience loss, grief, heartache, trauma, the harder it becomes to embrace this energy.  I’ve found that as healing goes on, just as it’s shown in tarot, we return to this natural state of being. We start off as The Fool when we are wee little babies, and if we are lucky can return there a few cycles at a time, with more wisdom gained each time.   The goal of The Fool is to have positive experiences, maybe for fun, maybe to grow. There is an acceptance with The Fool, a kind of “this is what is, how can I make this work well for me?” Everything works out for The Fool because they don’t know it can’t. Anything we go through in life, we can use to grow.  I personally believe we all could benefit embracing the archetypal energy of The Fool a bit more.  The Fool doesn’t stop to worry what other people will think!  The Fool does not fret about what if’s!  The Fool is in the moment!
