the romance between casey and silas was soo cute.. also iโd literally just finished catcher in the rye a few days before I came across this quote in w&l.. and i loved it with like a romantic amount of passion:
โThereโs a bit of clapping, and I walk up to the podium. I see a few clusters of students I teach and many others I donโt know. Their faces are lifted up at me. I think of Holden Caulfield, wanting to catch the children before they fall off the cliff, and I get it now.โ
just makes me smile so much. the scene where holden talks about becoming a catcher in the rye is so beautiful and really made me emotional so this was a great callback
