when I was 18 in 2014 I listened to this ep the first time I did acid while my situationship (this word didn’t exist then) was at work. He lived next to the Stockton tunnel in the city and I could sit on the fire escape of the tiny junior one bedroom. We’d smoke spliffs and create art because we were both art students. I’m reading the lyrics and realize they feel oddly poetic and representative of my life since then. you left me and I woulda done the same you’re all poised and I’m made of poison Anyways kitty is the queen of hyper pop

I made a mini album in 6 days and set a ton of constraints so that I would finish it. it was a life-changing experience to be honest and now I am more at peace !!! it is called Folk Noise to Fall Asleep To and I am happy it exists. where do people listen to music here? this is the Spotify link but I have it on most streaming services so that my parents could listen too (they do not understand SoundCloud and Bandcamp)

FINDING AMULETS

this tiny iridescent butterfly I found outside of the school I pass when I walk my dog I almost kept walking but it was so radiant with magic that I turned around and plucked it from the sidewalk. I reflect on its essence daily Lorde speaks about the concept of amulets in a recent video on Rolling Stone and I feel there is deep power in observing protection and fortune in every day objects, which in many ways can act as a foundation to support authentic artistry
