Just not a fan. I could be enjoying so many other things but my dumb body and brain need to shut down for so long. Not that it doesn't feel good but I'd rather it was elective and that not doing it didn't have serious consequences

im aware this is the ideal amount, but i think the more i strive to achieve this number perfectly, the more stressed i get with sleep and become sleep deprived. i wake up in the middle of the night 90% of the time, my parents deal with this too, and one of my goals is to go back to sleep faster. tracking my sleep cycle puts me at sleeping for 7 hours a night and i feel fine. im actually proud. once i let go of ”8 hours of sleep”, i feel like my sleep has gotten better
