okay i'm not *currently* reading it but i recently read it so it counts! for the uninitiated it's about a guy traveling to an island to research the guy who invented the atomic bomb who then ends up in all these weird antics. but it's also a satirical commentary on religion and society as a whole and more importantly consistently funny - big vonnegut fan and rlly liked this one

This was the book that got me completely into Vonnegut. It's a relatively easy read and keeps you at the edge of your seat. If you like it I recommend you to read more of his work! All of his books have re-occurring characters, themes, and settings that really immerses you into his world.

kurt vonnegut specifically! i had read sirens of titan and cat's cradle, and just finally finished slaughterhouse five and its really one of the best pieces of media i've ever consumed. he writes in a way that makes even surreal or science fiction novels feel like a direct portrait of his own mind and the human mind in general; vonnegut's life, thoughts, feelings, and conscious bleed onto his pages in a way i don't believe any other artist really comes close to. an author i would recommend to truly anybody!

The short story King. He began his career writing short stories for magazines while he worked as a copywriter at GM. He hated this job and used some themes from GM that he found to create satirical short stories. Many of them are quite dystopian and science fiction, which I don't normally like but there's a way Kurt Vonnegut writes that makes certain stories that wouldn't otherwise interest me totally enthralling. He's funny, satirical, provocative, and relatable in a lot of ways. Go read it! Vonnegut isn't an author you've never heard of, but this is definitely something worth reading.

falafel is one of my favorite foods but i can definitely say that this is the best falafel ive had in the city. every time i visit i make time to get the falafel pocket and a mint lemonade. it's cheap, it's quick, and it's pretty close to the met! highly recommend getting a sandwich and taking a quick stroll to central park to eat it :^)

watched an eddy burback video where he played lego star wars (also a fun one!) but something about indiana jones is just so nostalgic.. hearing the lego pieces when you break or build something really brings you back. 2000s wii games are unmatched
