and meet it every day. Something very small (5 pages or so) works best for my reading slumps because I can knock it out right before bed if I haven’t made time for it all day.

No reading feels better than reading done in avoidance. Reading that happens in desperate spurts fueled by the reality of obligations that hinge on closed pages. Reading to spite your boss is richer than reading that happens when you should be asleep.
