I am very fortunate to have married into a family that live right on a lake in Wisconsin. We go up a few times over the summer and boat, swim, kayak/canoe, water ski. Itโs always a lovely time.
This summer weโre also visiting Connecticut. My mother was raised in a small town on the coast and I used to spend the whole summer there growing up. My aunties and a sister all still live there, so the rest of us plan to go at the same time. This is the first year since I had my wedding reception there Iโll be spending more than a long weekend. Iโm so, so excited! Swimming in the ocean is my favorite thing ever!! Itโs one of my top 3 favorite places on earth. I have nothing but good memories from all my years visiting.
Thatโs it for us because of money and Work, but I feel very, very fortunate to even take these trips!!!

i like to think that if i knocked on the door of where i lived from birth to age 11, the people that live there now would just let me in without question. just bc it used to be my house.
