the ever-so lustrous author John Green came into my work back in November. we chatted a bit before he went back to his group of friends. before he left, i went out back to get something for him to sign. the best and most evident thing i could find was an empty egg carton. i presented the carton as a dada piece i was working on as a joke and asked he if he could sign it. not only he inspected, opened, sign it, he also wrote down a recommendation for a dada book called Young Adult Novel (something similar to Kurt Vonnegutโs Time Quake) on the side. in retrosepct, i feel silly and foolish for subjecting him to such a thing, but im sure he appreciated it and had a laugh about it. (P.S. i tried to find Young Adult Novel but searching only brought up the genre. iโm beginning to think he made it up. did John Green prank me as vengeance for my silly carton act?)
