Rec'd on 📜 the myriad piles of small pieces of paper
I COMPULSIVELY THROW SUCH THINGS AWAY ON A SEMI-REGULAR BASIS
Only the most sentimentally or pragmatically valuable items survive the purge. I keep important documents inside of an old MacBook box in a trunk and I keep little scraps in an old Costco holiday cookie tin or in the pocket of a Moleskine journal. Kind of deranged of me but I’ve always done this and I’m more of a digital archivist

I got rid of so much stuff today, really a fantastic feeling. I had a ton of stuff now I only have almost a ton of stuff.

@TATERHOLE Also I moved some stuff. I said: "I guess if I'm going to keep this thing that I'll never use I might as well move it out of the way." That wasn't quite as spiritually freeing.

Never changing
My dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, my favorite thing to do when I was on the landline phone with somebody—be it a relative or one of my best friends—was to breathlessly describe the things that were in my bedroom so that they could have a mental picture of everything I loved and chose to surround myself with, and where I sat at that moment in time. Perfectly Imperfect reminds me of that so thanks for always listening and for sharing with me too 💌
