My little guide to watching movies for free
By someone who is not tech savy to other people who are not tech savy. ***And also does not have acess to tubi YouTube channels: Cine Antiqua Hollywood Movies The Archive Movies Wocomo Movies Europa Filmes Nowness Internet Archive Torrent: YTS - Stremio - with torrent.io and piratebay add ons. But I gotta be honest I never truly got used to stremio If you know other resources please share!!

Soulseek, less risky than torrents and I've found interesting and rare stuff on there. Plus you can chat to other users , have a profile, have a wishlist for things you can't find(just don't go in the chatrooms)

& the PBS website/app has tons of documentaries, shows, etc for free !! (also if ur in the US they’re at risk of losing public funding they have an email form to contact congress abt it)

okay so maybe not free, but MUBI do 3 months for £1 sometimes, so basically free. They have sooooooo many foreign films on there it's acc ridiculous. They are also a good company that do it for the love of cinema

@RATTLESNAKE oh I love Mubi, I had a student access for free for four years. Among so many streaming services, they do try to make some of their catalogue more accesiable

SolidarityCinema.com
You can access the archive from Plex and it’s a hUge range of films, all for free! It’s been a lifesaver since leaving college and losing access to Kanopy. Tons of revolutionary films and documentaries, it’s like netflix for cool people! Jk i kid, i kid… 👀. A lot of independent films that are no longer being shown are up there too!! Great stuff all around.

TUBI: THE PEOPLE'S CRITERION
As we're all now forced to juggle and choose between 50 different streaming services, I know that Tubi will always be waiting for me. They are always updating their content available, and have such an amazing movie curation for something completely free. Thank you Tubi for being our last hope in our overly priced subscription filled world 💜

Noticing a dialogue between two recs on pi
One of the things I like the most about Pi.fyi and the current scale of users is that it's still noticeable when a rec was inspired by another. Sometimes the rec directly mentions the other, but other times you can kinda assume that reading an especific thing here triggered a memory or an ideia. It's very cute and interesting to notice the small influences interacting with other humans online can have.
