HOLY FUCK. I had no clue what this series was about going into it but Benito Skinner did his big one with this. I am so amazed at his talent as an actor + producer + writer. The casting, the writing, the soundtrack…all the details I just adore!!! I laughed to the point of crying and cried to the point of laughing watching this show šŸ˜šŸ’– I will be forcing everyone around me to watch it

Really truly baffled/annoyed at the lack of attention this show is getting.. everyone should be talking about this. Could be triggering to some, so read up and tread lightly if you think itd hit too hard. But I really was blown away at the bravery of Richard Gadd (who wrote this based on his own experience/life and played himself/a character of himself…!!) and was crying sooo bad at the last two episodes … so utterly devastating, confusing, a shock to the system, but to me that definitely falls into the category of good TV. Especially these days where I feel Netflix shows are .. what you’d expect Netflix shows to be. So fucking good 😭😭😭😭😭

I’m completely obsessed with the design of this show in general but the last episode… omg! I loved all the design choices since episode 1, the color scheme, the shots, the camera effects and blablabla, but the episode 7 it’s just a brain tickle for those who loves cinema. Like, since when Ben Stiller it’s that good?? For most people the exciting part of watching severance it’s creating theories about lumon and what Mark S. it’s really doing, for me it’s paying attention to every single detail at the screen cuz this show it’s a piece of visual art. I became a completely nerd for this show. Do you guys have any recommendations of other shows or movies for the severance fans? also, where is Cobel?

I technically went into this show blind as I had not really looked too much into it, and now after watching it I HAVE to say that it was not at all what I expected. I started the first few episodes and then proceeded to tell some coworkers that it was "making me feel giddy", due to all the gooey romance. BUT GOSH!!! did it take a turn.. by the end of the show I was uncontrollably sobbing.. But I will say, definitely worth a watch!

I think 10 year old addy would’ve passed out if she’d known that she would come to own this in 13 years…you can take the girl out of bikini bottom but you can’t take bikini bottom out of the girl

i know it sounds so clichĆ© but i work for a climate organisation & i just came home from a work event so i’m feeling very inspired/energised/refreshed…please find your community because it is tiring, draining, & almost impossible to drive social change alone. you don’t have to do it alone. A community helps your cause. We protest, meet, rally, & cry in numbers for this reason. šŸ’œ

i really also think about how much boys are taught ways to perform masculinity & how it is legitimised through tangible things like building a career etc but with women i find that from a young age our identity, behaviours, & thoughts are always spoken about in relation to other people/things — gender roles within the family, how we’re perceived by men, our friendships with other women, our relationships with material things etc etc — and this shows up in the labels that women are often given too! so and so is someone’s daughter, girlfriend, wife, mother etc etc. i envy the freedom of boyhood so much, the freedom to just be (this is not to discount the toxicity of traditional masculinity, i just think that boys are still afforded more ā€œplayā€ and therefore have more opportunities to develop their sense of self). maybe i am also biased because of how i’ve grown up & whatnot but i never really understood what it meant to quote unquote be a woman or perform femininity. i only saw this modelled within my nurturing friendships with women as i’ve gotten older but when i was younger, in church it was always ā€œok well don’t do this or that because x y z will happen to men if you doā€ or within my extended family it was often ā€œare you seeing anyone? when are you having kidsā€. damn what happened to asking about how i’m doing or what my dreams are!!! long rant sorry !! but that’s my long winded way of saying ā€œi feel youā€ haha
