Weird, quirky, dirty, obsessed are words I'd use to describe Paradise Logic. Reality Kahn is the greatest water slide commercial actress on the Eastern Seaboard; she is on the ultimate quest of becoming the greatest girlfriend ever. After successfully obtaining her boyfriend Ariel, Reality is dazzled by an ad in her favourite magazine âGirlfriend Weeklyâ, to participate in a drug trial prescribing a pill called ZZZZvx Ultra to become the greatest girlfriend ever.Â
Usually, before heading to a bookstore, I have a tightly curated list of books Iâve researched. I hardly ever pick up a book that isn't on my tbr. On this particular day, I walked past this gorgeous pink glossy cover; I was ultimately intrigued. It depicts a true insight to the infatuations girls typically experience in their early twenties; the chaotic highs and lows of the classic notion, âwe accept the love we think we deserveâ but on acid.Â
This book was truly a trip to read, Sophieâs writing bends from Paradise to what I can only describe as a neon-fuzzed fever dream. It is wild and weird, I feel like the girls who get it, get it. After reading this book, I am in wonder of Sophieâs uniquely original voice within her writing. I want moreÂ
5/5
I have also created a Spotify playlist, that I think matches the vibe of the book perfectly.Â
