Whenever possible, I try to conduct my business in diners. The ideal backdrop for meetings, dates, fights, parent visits, co-working, break ups, meeting internet friends IRL, dining alone, disassociating after therapy, crying in public. Truly a one-size-fits-all venue

The SHOPS @ Columbus circle

Specifically the downstairs Lincoln Center Whole Foods, with its windowless cafeteria. My favorite place for my thirty minute lunch break. A midtown third space oasis.
You’ve got it all—your tour groups, your business men, Bad Roman, bad public art. A place I’m strangely nostalgic for, as it was one of the first places I visited on my first trip to New York (in 2015, on a high school band field trip).
One day I may have to write a Benjaminian Arcades Project-esque ode to this particular commercial complex.

Frenchette in Tribeca, the best bistro in NYC, esp around the holidays

You're sitting VERY close to your neighbors, not that there's anything wrong with that (overheard humblebragging, breakup chatter, etc.).

Because restaurants do their seafood deliveries on Mondays, so anything you order on that day is likely from the week before
