Getting outside with others is really great - are there any community or volunteer gardens near you? Older folks who could use a hand? Getting out and about, meeting new folks, and seeing things grow have done me a lot of good!

Join your community garden! Go to local events! Continue to show up even if you feel kinda awkward in the beginning! Get involved in your neighborhood in some way and I promise it’ll change your life for the better.
Even if it’s just for the random convos you get to have when you run into someone on the street that you’ve met before or gaining a local friend that can water your plants or pick up packages while you’re away, it feels good to feel like you’re a part of something bigger than yourself.

It could be someone from work, or someone you met at a party, or someone you know from a place you go a lot — but making a connection and following up with them to hang out! I’ve been freaked of this before, but have tried to reach out to people more & most of the time it’s been a positive thing.
It’s helpful for me to find a common interest like if we talk about a movie that’s coming out or a hobby we both like, to invite them into that!

A long time ago I heard something about being able to understand a conversations flow based on the distance between the rings left from a drink in the cup. Anyone know anything about this? I was drinking coffee and catching up with a childhood friend and remembered because she pointed out the mug and said it looked like rings within a tree. Such a beautiful life!
