I’ve just finished The Awakening by Kate Chopin. At first, I can admit I was a bit tired of the constant repetitive descriptions of New Orleans scenery but, the last few chapters really caught me. It’s a fantastic analysis of the female desire to be free of societal standards. Great early feminist work.

Tubi soda

Tubi is an herbal citrus liqueur which with soda water and lime is the perfect summer drink. It’s not sweet at all, just refreshing. Think lemon saffron ginger….the drink of choice in Budapest in the summer
