This might be the thing I love most about living in a walkable city (nyc). There is something so romantic (or just dopely platonic) about the feeling of sharing a walk home after a meal, belly and heart full

Finished up some work at 5pm (same time as my bf) and we immediately walked from Ridgewood to Sunnyside. Took a super pedestrian unfriendly route to get there, like…side of road no sidewalk type walk. It was very enriching. I love walking through industrial areas to get to somewhere lush and green. It feels very magical realism/storybook-like. My life has been sitcom crazy and my brain has felt scrambled; long walks have been keeping me levelheaded and sharp. Good to have someone else to dissect your thoughts with but you can do it alone too. We walked for 4 hours ish

Truly try to make time for this. It’s simple. No matter what happened that day the walk is always nice. And if you do it with someone you love it feels even better.

0:52 the drum kick patterns switches ever so slightly to match the vocal cadence and it’s so satisfying because it only happens a couple times all song, but this is the first moment. also the flam right at 3:56 goes so hard. this whole song is a masterpiece but small choices make it so dynamic.

ie “those mashed potatoes are the truth” your friends will laugh at you the first time you do this but stick with it.

Recently been just calling up random friends that I haven’t connected with in a long time. I have this association that a cold call from a friend means bad news and I want to rewire that neural pathway one cold call at a time.
