just did this over the weekend and it was indeed like time travel and also a renewed sense of compassion for my younger self, thus my current self? and the joy of just seeing old familiar spaces I can't go back to and my dad wearing big 90s glasses and my mom's hair...yeah. it's a trip

@BROOKS exactly! helps to get the more pure sense of self back in a way and teaches to appreciate things you took for granted as a child. brings some sadness too

taking and looking back at pictures, with the sudden hit of nostalgia will always make me feel human. idk what it is but looking at a physical image of what you took (what your life used to be like) somewhat grounds you in a way.
