Saving pool Bugs

Saved a ladybug and some kind of bee/wasp yesterday. Pretty cool that we can just swoop down and pluck these little guys from death’s door with barely any effort. Feels good to see ‘em scuttle/fly away after they’ve dried off! ——— Photo: Gilles San Martin

BECOMING MORE PEACEFUL & EMBRACING STEWARDSHIP OF OUR EARTH

in the last year or two i’ve been working on reducing my harm to our natural world. i strongly believe we are stewards of the earth and it is our natural duty to serve the other beings around us as best we can. we take all our animal brethren around us for granted but it is our fault they are dying. so when i see a bug that i would have normally killed in the past, i try instead to help it or leave it be. today a wasp was trapped inside the building i work in. it’s pretty common knowledge wasps are not chill guys. instead of leaving her to die, i trapped her in a cup and freed her back outside, she flew high up, almost as if overcome with joy to be able to reach the sky, instead of longing for it behind the pane of glass.

RESPECTING THE STOMACH

too often people complain about having a ‘stomachache’ before gripping on their lower abdomen to relieve the pain. not to be pedantic but how actually dare you? the stomach is in the upper abdomen minding her own, getting the job done, and you’re attributing the downstairs nuisance of the bowels and uterus to her name??? you have a BOWEL ache, you have UTERUS cramps... the stomach chooses not to affiliate herself with those organs (she told me) x free the stomach from this slander!

this pink tree

when i moved in in september ‘24, this tree was green and i was happily surprised when a few weeks ago i noticed it was blossoming pink. i srsly cannot wait for spring. get these clouds out of the sky man.

my rocket goes technically out of date tomorrow as if that’s gonna stop me i also hate that it’s called arugula in the usa question mark??? like rocket is so much better on the kiki vs bouba scale, rocket is defo kiki and arugula sounds too bouba for the taste it also looks kiki look at those spikes delish
