Tbh my formal french lessons were a lot more recent than my formal english ones, sometimes i’ll throw some french phrases in there if i’m not confident about english grammar rules
i learned it by living there from 14 to 20 because of circumstances. but integration (especially in a non-international school) is the reason I was able to become fluent at that age
why are they so confusing. when i was a kid my teacher made me memorise all of the verb tenses in spanish and would randomly test everyone on them and it traumatised me a bit.. but hell, i remember them all now. so it’s worth it i guess. working on french now.. let’s see how it goes ☝️
