My ex boyfriend really wanted me to like Sonic Youth. But he was right about so many other things I didn't want him to be right about this too. It wasn't until I heard this song in the French Netflix teen drama Les 7 Vies de Léa that I understood the true awesomeness of Sonic Youth. Speeding down winding french roads in a convertible on the way to audition with your shitty high school punk band is the best way to listen to Sonic Youth. Kim Gordon is lowkey on some fuckshit now but iconic nonetheless.
