Brief text exchange

I’ve been into just putting things out there. And talking on the phone. I don’t enjoy texting. I never send a text FOR a response. I just want to send it. I have to send text. I like when they respond and then I don’t respond. I like when they just heart react the message. I get the little notif- “blah blah Loved your message”. I’m glad you loved it because I love you. I love all the people in my phone

obv there’s no substitute for face to face chatting, but when you aren't sitting across from the person and the texts go from an hour apart to 5 min to suddenly just rapid fire back to back real time texting you know theres some chemistry building. like yeah we could prolly facetime or something at that point but it’s such a giddy feeling realizing that you paused what you were watching 30 min ago to respond to a text and now you’re waist deep in paragraph long responses. also everyone is smoother over text that little time buffer makes all the difference

Texing back

We don’t write letters anymore so I think that texting is the closest we have to regular written communication (which I actually value and enjoy in moderation). I see and feel the downsides to texting too much. And I have done a lot of work on responding to people slower and taking more thought and time into it. With this said, I have noticed that many of my friends will initiate conversations with me only to never respond. I think the ways you communicate can be important examples of how you’re considering your loved ones.
