Currently tracking the conclave process(I’m not even religious😭) which weirdly makes me feel like im living in the 15th century and the medici’s are in power. Anyway I hope that Tagle gets it because we don’t need an ultra conservative homophobic pope, there’s too much hate in the world already.

@TIRAMISU did some digging and turns out he’s kind of like a true centrist so that the right doesnt like him because he’s too woke for them (pro immigration, possibly anti-trump) but the left doesn’t like him that much either because of the homophobic comments.

Admittedly, despite all the awful headlines in recent years (you know what I’m talking about), I’m still low-key obsessed with the ritual, mystique, and drama of the Roman Catholic Church. All the best to you, Leo XIV. In this crazy world, a church that genuinely champions compassion and social justice—and holds its ground in the face of power—is something we could really use.

rip pope francis I remember watching you enter the papacy back in middle school and that itself felt not too long ago… I’m not even religious myself but i always felt a lot of hope from pope Francis because of his loud empathy and inclusion in an increasingly conservative world just kind of sad to be honest
