Formally known as Joronavirus on TikTok (now spaceruins), I feel some of y’all remember her tiktoks in 2020 that were like “a netflix original” or “A24 presents”. However she’s also a musician from the Bay Area, and I just feel that she’s criminally underrated. Virgo, Social Rules and Ghost Man are my top 3 faves.
She took her music down on Spotify☹️ but she still has them on her SoundCloud so if u like alternative rock sounds then I recommend taking a listen!

Nemah Hasan (aka Nemahsis) is a Palestinian-Canadian singer-songwriter from Milton, Ontario who is creating some beautifully poignant music that goes beyond your standard catchy alt-pop. The thought put into everything from her music videos to the actual lyricism of her songs has so many layers of meaning that it's impossible not to rewatch and relisten to her work to fully experience all those levels of subtext.
Her latest album, Verbathim, releases September 13th and I'm genuinely excited to hear what she's been working on.

She came up on my Spotify algorithm earlier this year and I think her songs are just incredible. So catchy. Great for the car. I see her being the next big thing. She’s also got a great sense of humour which is cool.
