This is a good idea because Diablo 2 is the best in the franchise. Also at level 30 you get access to the ability whirlwind which is incredibly powerful and worth building your entire character around.

I don't have a PC or PS5 to play Baldur's Gate 3 so I'm replaying D:OS2. I'm extremely good at it now.
I have Beast and Red Prince as heavy weapon warfare mains, Lohse as a hydrosophy summoner, and myself as a pyromancy/huntsman.
Sub recommendation: If you do play it, I generally recommend not multiclassing until later levels, but I would recommend abusing the teleport skill. It's worth leveling aerotheurge on non-magic mains just to get it on as many characters as possible. The game can be very hard, but teleport totally breaks it. Get up high and teleport a hard enemy as far away as possible so you can deal with adds. I also think scoundrel is kind of a shitty class to main, but YMMV.
