I ventured into a Target not that long ago for valentine’s candy (#single activities), and found the love of my life after all. A plush kids’ dino that’d been abandoned by the Reese’s. his name is oswald & I love him very much.

They make me feel safe and are my friends ok? Tell me you could just walk past this guy at CVS and not save him… couldn’t be me. He joins the others

usually baby-safe, fun to grab, chew, or whip around for playtime, and a nice companion to cuddle for bedtime! and something they may hang on to for years. also this shrimp one I would easily get for myself right now as an adult he’s so cute 🦐

I’m not going to lie, I used to be the type to cringe at adults whose beds were covered in stuffed animals and still do believe there should be a cut off but I just recently began growing my family of plushies and it’s really upgraded my lounging time, of which there is a lot of. Sometimes I’m not sure what my overall aesthetic is or how I want my home to look but I think it’s somewhere between Korean minimalism and straight up age regressed paradise. I’m unashamed of the joy it brings me to walk into a store, suddenly come across a plushie I feel drawn to and bring it home with a newfound name/personality. My first one was a four foot teddy bear handed down to me by a follower after I posted how much I wanted a giant teddy bear. Shout out to them. His name is Genji, named after Murasaki Shikibu’s ā€œThe Tale of Genjiā€: a classic work of Japanese literature written in the early 11th century centered on the life and loves of a handsome son born to an Emperor. Then, I have a Harbour seal who’s name I forgot so I renamed him Melvin, a grey bunny named Roger and a pink squishmallow named Martha May Vicky Christina Barcelona. I don’t know why they’re mostly male so don’t ask me. I look forward to extending this family.

so very saddened that these darlings are an AI indicator now—no one will dampen my excessive use though!!! my mind is entirely made up of run-on spirals—just look at how nifty they are to add onto with. love ’em.

the time has come to finally tackle cleaning out my closet— a gargantuan task that’s been put off for years. upon years. all the way back to the hoarding of middle school clothes & oddities I couldn’t quite bring myself to rid the pile of. the nostalgia’s worn off now though (at least I thought) and so I proceeding to part ways with ill-fitting garments that I had no attachment to (besides the slight reek of being 13) until I came across the perfume bottles. the smells were lovely—Bath and Body Works coconuts and fruity floral mixes that said ā€œI am one of you, I promiseā€ with their sweet girlish notes—besides the pungent sense of forgotten memory that transported me to those halls. would not recommend going back to your middle school years, but part of me is still attached fondly to the smells, nostalgia’s mind trick still hoarding them in a dimly lit corner until the caps come off.

underrated, but quite lovely
