I’ll go first. This is one of my favorites to share, especially if there are folks in the room who haven’t seen it. This is actually a music video for the whole mixtape, but each song is exactly a minute long. 15 songs for a 15 minute album. The visuals are absolutely stunning, and each song is given its own world within the video. This album is also great if you need to something to put on while quickly getting ready. I used to use it as a timer when I was a freshman in college before my 8ams. Whether listening or watching, this one will never get old to me.

Tierra Whack is a BOSS for this! The music and the visuals are absolutely on point. Everything about is so well done. I will always love this visual album.

Hands down one of my favorite songs ever, for sure some of the best musical work to come out of the 21st century. This song is raw yet euphoric, confident but wounded. The guitar intro is crazy, Weyes spits bars the entire track, and the outro is remarkable. The influences are clear but Natalie adds an entire new level of intimacy the modern music industry is scared to accept. She's a modern day Joni Mitchell when referencing skill level, in my opinion. I really do love it and its my go to when someone asks: "What should I listen too?".

been listening to her Other World EP for the last couple of rainy weeks in LA.
4 songs, 20 minutes, and sets a somber yet poppy tone for a short drive. her latest single from last year is also stellar, really love the simplicity in the production. could easily fit in with late 80’s synthpop/industrial (depeche mode, soft cell). nice change of pace. check it out ⬆️

Coined by my best friend, “noticing walks” are for walking around and taking the time to notice the things around you. It’s about letting every little bit of litter, graffiti, obnoxious bumper sticker, and poorly designed advertisement catch your eye. Finding glamour and beauty in things that are usually considered ordinary, accidental, mundane.
By nature of who I am, I‘ve always been one to notice on most walks I take, often taking pictures of my findings and sharing them to my instagram story like a true archivist. Electing to take the alley rather than sidewalk to see what people have written on trashcans and what lives between dumpsters. Taking a true noticing walk, with nowhere to be, allows you to reflect on what you are naturally drawn to and puts you more in touch with your surroundings, your neighbors, etc. Even if you’re like me and usually have your headphones on.

a hard choice, but I’ve said for a long time that if I was ever interviewed by Pitchfork for my “perfect 10” album, this would be my pick.
