some flowers for mary lattimore

I can never talk enough about Mary Lattimore's music. She's such a genius, and her vision and artistry is everything. She's been the soundtrack to my life since around 2015. I remember discovering her when I was on holiday in Rome and it was just so fitting. I've been returning to her music every now and again, and I’m always surprised with how she can make me feel so in touch with my humanity.  Recently, I've been listening to her  2016 album, Music Inspired, by Philip Garrel’s La Révélateur and it's just haunting.

joining the florence + machine train for this one

litch just did a rec for this on its own as well. but the lyrics on the landscape demo take me to pieces man. i'm astounded by the feeling she's managed to capture here. being volatile and sad and internally inconsistent and full of want and not being able to help it. & there's so much beauty in the 'landscape' imagery and associations. wide and powerful and also just there and you're in it. i am so obsessed with her i mean what the fuck dude

julia holter albums are sometimes so wooden and peculiar it can be hard to even feel like you're meant to be enjoying it, but this track from the last album just keeps opening up and opening up

listened to this today because a friend recommended it its very cozy and calm and a little sad at times at a couple of moments i was hoping for more of an edge, or a little bit more drama but i think that was just the mood i was in so thats probably on me i think 'used bitch' and 'why are you so uptight' were my favorite songs on first listen thanks nate, thanks ralph
