knitting, crocheting, yoga (because I rarely do it), doodling, modular origami, string games in solo player mode, macrame, knots, biking, watching food themed movies, dyeing, fabric painting, glass painting, all kinds of painting, listening to podcasts, miscellaneous arts and crafts (like making stickers), strumming the same chords on guitar, dj-ing, photography, pressing and drying plants, bookbinding and zine making, singing, collecting scraps for gift-wrapping, foraging, pickling, baking, etc. etc. I really want to get into ceramics. and cyanotype printing.

This long list is so relateable! Curiosity piqued: now I need to know more about modular origami and string games in solo mode (what even is that? I have a mental image, but I could be totally off).

@JUDICIAL_JADE_FELIDAE string games - literally learning to play Cat's Cradle on your own (not as fun of course but still a boredom buster), or making the Bridge formation with string Modular origami - recommend starting with Toshie's Jewel, which uses three pieces of folded paper to fit together. My challenge to myself is to try and make origami fit together with zero glue but it depends on paper texture, size etc. Sometimes I wish my brain could hold more scientific facts so I could logic my way through these issues but I really don't have that much fuel hhaha

I already do this when I can, but if I was truly analog, i’d be crafting. jack of all trades, master of none: - crocheting - painting(nails or canvas with acrylic) - making jewelry - printmaking - quilting (big fan of improv quilting) - drawing - pottery/clay work - bookbinding/scrapbooking/collaging

-baking & cake decorating is probably my main one(I also do it to an extent for work too) -sewing; all my clothes are either made, upcycled, or tailored by me -painting though I’m not the best at it but it’s relaxing -needlefelting it’s really accessible and relaxing. I take it with me to cafes and such for something to do with my hands and it’s a good conversation starter. I like to give random people free keychains and trinkets I make -music; I love to write songs and I play guitar and banjo, also taking voice lessons at the moment -”photography” I like to take Polaroids of my friends and things and decorate them with stickers and doodles -vintage doll and toy collecting I have too many things -cosmetics; love makeup too much and doing people’s hair -fashion; between making stuff, studying old runway shows, and learning whatever history I can

Sometimes you try your best and everything seems to hit the fan no matter how much you try, so you take that raincheck and take yourself out for a day.

This is what I call it hahahah made by mums everywhere but the greased up version is sold along stalls in Mumbai. Two regular slices of white bread, buttered, and the middle filling is cream cheese with red onions, coriander/cilantro, tomatoes and some minced chillis. All veggies chopped mini cube size so they blend with the cheese. Toasted crispy.
